Commissioning a piece of furniture specifically designed for your home or office can be a rewarding experience. A handcrafted piece of furniture is made to the highest quality and will last for generations. Each piece will take into consideration the space it will occupy and the individuals who will use it. The commissioning process often starts with a phone call or studio visit and then a visit to the client’s home or business. When working to commission I take the client’s wishes seriously, liasing with the client through the initial concepts and sketches until we are both happy with the design. Frequently their ideas transform into something that far surpasses the original concept. The commission process proceeds along these lines: 1. Agree budget 2. Discuss Initial design concepts and sketches 3. If the client is happy a more formal agreement is entered into 4. Completion date agreed 5.
